Hey, girl! Honestly, what girl isn’t obsessed with marble, well, anything? I am totally loving the marble trend right now and I would love to make anything and everything in my room marble, I’m not kidding 😉 Here are 5 super easy and inexpensive DIY’s using only marble contact paper!
psst – have you checked out my SHOP? It’s located in the menu (besides the contact page) and you can browse all my favorite books, room decor, DIY supplies and more from Amazon! Whatcha waitin’ for girl, check it out here!
My Marble Contact Paper:
I got my marble contact paper from Amazon, and I love it! It’s extremely easy to apply to anything and works amazing for the DIY’s I am showing you in this post! This is the exact contact paper I used and it’s totally worth the inexpensive price! 😃
#1 – DIY Notebook:
This one is incredibly easy and inexpensive! You can grab any notebook you already have or pick one up from the Dollar store, then grab your contact paper, and trace the notebook cover on the paper. Once you have your outline just cut it out and then slowly apply the paper to the notebook. I started at the top and then slowly peeled the backing off the paper as I used a ruler to smooth out any bubbles as I go, and VIOLA!
(These basic Hilroy coiled notebooks from Amazon is exactly what I used and they are amazingly cheap)
#2 – DIY Phone Case:
So for this one, all you need is your contact paper and a clear Iphone case. I got mine from Amazon and they are super cheap, you can get one here:
Once I had my case, I traced the shape of the case onto the paper using a small x-acto knife to cut it out. You want to be super careful when tracing the camera hole especially when you go to cut it out. Then use the same steps to apply the paper as the notebook.
#3 – DIY Storage Box:
If you are planning to do this one I would reccomend choosing a different shape for your box than I did 🙂 This hexagon box was a little tricky but I’m sure nothing you couldn’t handle 😉 (a square shape would be the easiest) I got this box at a Garage Sale for 25¢! All I did then was paint it white and add the paper. I traced out the hexagon shape and then cut slits where the corners are, and folded the paper overthe edges. You can find small wood storage boxes like these at your local Dollar Store or Amazon. I LOVE how this box turned out and it super practical and cute! I use it to store my extra poloroids I am not displaying 😀
#4 – DIY Clipboard
I honestly can’t get over the transformation of this clipboard 😉 I took a mini clear clipboard and just covered the bottom half with the contact paper. You could also use a regular brown clipboard as well. I made one this summer using a brown clipboard, but I spray painted it pink first, and then added marble contact paper to the bottom half, I would show you guys pictures but I gave it to my friend for part of her birthday gift 🙂 Covering the whole clipboard would be super cute as well 😀
#5 – DIY Pencils
K, but these pencils… yes please 😀 You will never lose your pencils at school again! Just cover the tips with contact paper and voila! It’s super easy but such an easy way to personalize and decorate your school supplies. Don’t have any regular pencils, grab some here!
#6 – BONUS DIY Candle
This one is so easy, tbh, I don’t know if you even consider it a DIY, but that’s how I like my DIY’s (simple, cheap, easy, and cute) I took a Bath & Body Works candle and just simply measured and covered the paper around the glass. This makes a totally trendy room decor piece that cost me nothing! (I already had the candle)
Well, that’s all for today 😀 I hoped you enjoyed these super easy (and cheap!) marble DIY’s, comment below and let me know which one was your fav! See you next time 🙂
