Back To School FREE Apps To Make Life Easier

Hey, girl… At this point you are either dreading going back to school, or are already in school. Either way, I’m here to help. In this blog post I’m showing you my favorite free apps and websites for back to school to make yor life much, much, easier…

App #1: Quizlet

I have been using Quizlet for a couple years now, and I have no idea where I would be without it. It’s a free app and website. Like I said, it’s a free program where you can create flashcards and have different sets for different classes. It will also create practice tests for you out of your flashcards you created and there are even memorization and matching games to make it a little more fun… sounds awesome, right?

App #2: Grammarly

Grammarly has saved my butt so many times, let me tell you. Grammarly is a website where you can paste your essay or assignment into and it will proof read and spell check it for you. You can also the download the program to your computer so it corrects right in Word. Like all other apps in this post, Grammarly is free, but there is also a paid version.

App #3: MyHomework Student Planner

This is a mobile app where you can track your school work, assignments, and deadlines all in one place. You can also add your class schedule into this app to even you organized to the max. It can give you a monthly layout of your events and give you reminders.

App #4: SPC Card

Okay so this one isn’t free, but I had to make one eensy little exception. For only $10 you can buy an Student Price Card. An SPC will give you discounts and deals at stores you already shop at. That includes shopping for new back to school clothes, your phone bill, last minute summer travel, sports events, textbooks, and even food. And of course, there is a free app that goes with it that hosts lots of weekly contests and giveaways.

App #5: Lumosity

Lumosity is a free brain training app. It works different parts of the brain with daily games. The games help train your memory, attention, and more. I haven’t used it before, but I think I’m definitely going to give it a shot πŸ™‚

App #6: Evernote

Looking for a free program to help you take seamless notes in class? In Evernote you can write notes, scan documents, save business cards, hand write, and much more. The best part is that it works on your phone, tablet, and computer and syncs automatically.

App #7: SimpleMind Free

SimpleMind lets you create mind maps easily to help you organize your thoughts for big projects and assignments. It’s easy to sign up and easy to use πŸ™‚

App #8: MyScriptMemo

This app lets you take notes by hand, draw math equations, write up to-do lists and then converts it into digital text your can export and share.

App #9: 30/30

30/30 is the ultimate time management tool. It lets you set time blocks for how long you want to spend on a task to help keep you focused. It helps to break up your study time into work and breaks andΒ  think this app if definitely work checking out.

App #10: Dictionary.com

Last but not least, dictionary.com is a mobile app and website that is a, well, you guessed it, dictionary. I have been using this source for quite a while and it’s super fast, helpful, and efficient. As lazy as this sounds, it’s so much faster than using a paper dictionary and I definitely recommend this site.

Well, girl, you made it through! I really hope this list of back to school apps help make going back to school and the upcoming year a little easier. Let me know in the comments if you have used any of these apps before or which ones your are most excited to try. I can’t wait to start using 30/30 more and MyHomework Student Planner, let me know what you think!

Till next time,

Wow! I’ll have to give these a try. I’m homeschooled, so I don’t have official ‘homework’, but these could still come in handy. Thanks for sharing!
