Exploring In Banff | Travel Diary

Have you ever been to Banff, AB? If you are a lover of hikes, waterfalls, pretty views, biking, and being outdoors… Banff is the place to be. I’ve only been to Banff a few times, but everytime my family goes there, we always find something new to explore and discover. I was only in Banff for only a couple days, but I took TONS of photos and couldn’t wait to share them with you! Psst- Are you a fellow Lifestyle Blogger who would like to be feautured on my blog? DOWNTOWN

Alright, now if you are going to be in Banff, you have to go downtown and browse the shops at least once, and personally, once is enough. There are TONS of tourist shops and even MORE tourists, but the experience of just walking through the streets and taking it all in is what it’s about for me.

HIKES

Banff is definitely a hiking place, and the hikes there are beautiful. This time, we went to Johnston Canyon. I loved this hike in particular because it was gorgeous the whole time and as you were walking there was a super cool creek flowing beside you. Eventually, after only 1km you reach a waterfall, and then if you hike another 1km you get the view of another waterfall. The cool part was that you could decide how far you wanted to hike, and there were different things to do on each section of the way. The hike isn’t too trecherous and paved the whole way, so it’s a really nice relaxing calm hike, nothing too serious here πŸ™‚

BIKING

One of my favorite memories from the trip was renting a little bike for myself and touring around on the different paths along the river. I had always want to try a “townie” bike. You konw the ones with the super comfy seats? Anyway, I had so much fun biking and exploring the trails right in the town along the river.

FOOD

Mmm food… One night, we were walking around downtown looking for a place to stop and eat diner, lots of which, were full and had a long wait. We asked one waitress if she had a reccomendation of where to go, and she suggested The Tavern. When we arrived, we found out that The Tavern had been on the show “You Gotta Eat It Here!” on the Food Network! Long story short, their specialty was pizza, and man the expectation didn’t fall short πŸ˜‰

This meal was from a little cafe right at the start of the Johnston Canyon hike.

I really hoped you enjoyed seeing the photos I took on my trip! If you want to see more I have TONS more photos to share, so let me know in the comments! I hope you’re enjoying your summer vacay so far, and look out for more #SummerToRemember posts from me to make the most out of your precious time this summer!

Those pizzas look absolutely delicious! And waterfalls look amazing! I love all of your photos, but my favorites were the ones of downtown. You did a really nice job of showing a lot of photos, but no too many of the same thing. I really appreciated that and it made your post so much more interesting.
