I am finally free from exams and school for the summer and I couldn’t be happier. I am so excited so all the opportunities to come and the adventures to be had this summer, and I really want to make this summer, one to remember. So, I’ve decided to start a brand new series on my blog: #ASummerToRemember. You only get a couple months for your summer holidays, so why not make it count and have the best summer possible, amiright?

Okay onto this quick list of tips for making the most out of this summer!
Explore and Get Out:
Personally, I think this is the biggest one. Yes, I totally agree, Netflix marathons are epic and essential to a perfect summer, however, a Netflix marathon every, single, day, it’s exactly #summergoals. So probably my biggest tip to you is, hit up those friends of yours, (or your family!) and get out! Now I’m not talking travel acros the globe, although that would be amazing, who said you have to leave your state, or town for that matter? Be a tourist in your own town, go to the trendy places, hit up the museums, parks, etc. Go places, exlore, and leave your room once in a while (hopefully more often than not) 😉
Don’t Have High Expectations:
I am all for a summer bucket list and list of things you want to get done in the summer, however if your expectations for yourself are too high, and you don’t complete everything on your list, you might feel dissapointed. Trust me, I speak from experience 🙁 But don’t worry, it’s a quick fix. Make that list of ideas of what to do summer (look out for a free things to do this summer blog post right away!), but just don’t expect to get everything done. Just have the mindset that whatever you complete is great, and whatever you don’t is fine. Just roll with it and find a happy medium 😀
Spend Time With Loved Ones:
Often we humans tend to focus wayyy to much on material things, make this a #SummerToRemember and spend time with your family or those friends you haven’t seen in forever. I know I’m personally so insanely buy during the school year, and I’m sure you guys are too, so make time for those frienfs you never get to hang out with, or FaceTime your long-distance friends that you have been meaning to FaceTime with forever but your schedule’s never connect. (You know who you are 😉
Finnally Get Better At That Hobby Of Yours:
We all have that one hobby we love to do but never have time for, right? What’s that hobby for you? Maybe it’s graphic design, DIY’s, knitting, golfing, who knows? Maybe have been thinking of starting a blog, but just never had time. If so, you should do it, I LOVE blogging and it’s a great creative outlet for me, so it that is the case for you, I reccomend Creative Market. They have tons of resources like WordPress themes, landing pages, stock photography, and everything you need to get your blog up and running. Just click here! But whatever it is, take time to do what you love and improve at your hobbies, and I promise you, that will make your summer one to remember.
Find Your Local Events Paper:
Not all towns/cities will have this, but more often that not cities will have a newspaper or pamphlet of all the concerts, festivals, activies, etc. going on in the summer that you can attend. So next time you are downtown, stop by the town office and pick up yourself one if they have one! You never know, right?
Learn Something New:
So I already talked about improving at your hobbies, but you can try something completely new too! Is there something new you’ve been dying to try? Maybe you have an endless Pinterest board of DIY ideas (like me :D) that you have never tried because well, you just didn’t have time. Now’s that time! To get you started with ideas, here is my DIY board on Pinterest.
Are you someone who gets pure inner joy from helping people? If so, hats off to you girl, because that is honestly darn awesome. If not, this could still be for you. I can’t think of a better way of making the most of your summer than by helping others and volunteering in your community. There is a wide variety of different volunteer jobs and you could definitely find one that is right for you and in a field of personal interest. It’s not all picking garbage ya know 😉 Hit up the local animal shelter, or volunteer to do crafts at the childrens centre, it’s all up to you girl!
