Hey girl! Who doesn’t want shiny and soft hair? I can’t wait to share my favourite hair products and routine with you! I’ve tried using hair oil, not using hair oil, and the list goes on… but I’ve finally been able to really figure out what works for my hair type! This post is a collaboration with Voir Haircare. All opinions are my own and I would never talk about something I don’t truly love!
I’ve tried a few different methods and products and I think I’ve finally figured out what works best for me 🙂
My hair is naturally really straight and it’s not super thick so it can get greasy easily. So for a while, I avoided any oils for my hair. Later on I realized that even though my hair is thin and can get greasy easily, moisturizing and using hair masque’s and oils is super important for my hair routine!
Step 1: I’m definitely more of a shower person. I don’t know about you, 😂 but I find it way easier to fully wash my hair in the shower vs. in the bath. First, I use my Arbonne shampoo. The biggest tip my Nana taught me to make sure all the shampoo is out of your hair is if you slide you fingers on your roots it should squeak if clean! This always helps me to know if my hair is clean and I washed all the shampoo out.
Step 2: Next I hop out of the shower and I apply my Voir Haircare Hair Masque! They recommend you apply a generous amount evenly all over, including the roots and tips! This product seriously made my hair SO soft and I love to support local Canadian brands!
Step 3: While I wait for the hair masque to do its magic, I will usually brush, floss, and do the rest of my night-time routine. After 2-3 minutes I will hop back in the shower to give my hair a quick rinse and then I’m all good!
Note – This is my hair pampering routine and so I don’t use the hair masque every time I shower, I usually to do my “pamper routine” once or twice a week and I just use my Arbonne shampoo and conditioner on the other days!
Step 4: Lastly I will apply one tiny squirt of my Moroccan hair oil to my wet hair to help with tangles and to give my hair a little extra shine! I’ve definitely learned the hard way though, use only a pinch of oil! Otherwise, it’s WAY too much!
From here I either let my hair air dry or blow dry depending on if I’m in a hurry!
So that’s it for my pamper haircare routine! What did you think? I am so excited that I finally nailed down a routine that works for my hair! I really hoped this helped you out and maybe you discovered a new product you want to try!
Also… I was thinking of maybe doing a makeup related post soon! I have never done one specific blog post with my makeup routine or my favourite makeup products.
Do you have straight, curly, or wavy hair? I am so curious haha 🙂 Also, should I do a makeup related blog post? Let me know in the comments!
