Hey girl? Have you heard of the ugly location photo shoot challenge before? It’s definitely a mouthful but I’ve seen a few people doing it around and I just had to try it out! The challenge is basically where you scout out and find regular, normal, and ugly locations to try to take cute photos at! The end-game of the challenge is to have original and cool photos even though it was at an ugly location! Let’s get into it!
I have been planning and waiting to do this challenge for a few months now but it finally worked out to go do it and I was SO excited!
Two friends of mine and myself went out downtown and we tried to find some cool locations! There were a lot of auto body shops and various stores so we went into the alleys to find some cool walls and “ugly locations”
We found the perfect “ugly wall” with pipes and meters that ended up looking really cool. Check out the photos…
Right beside our first location we found THE COOLEST blue vintage truck. At first glance, I thought the truck wouldn’t make the greatest photos because it was quite small, but after we tried a few shots from the front of the truck we quickly realized how cool the location was! The front of the truck had a really cool grill and the colour of the truck really stood out!
After we took those shots we kept walking down the street and different alleys to see what locations we could find. Eventually we came across this abandoned store with an empty shopping cart beside it with caution tape all over it. It seriously looked like something from a horror movie, LOL. My friend and I were kind of sceptical if the photos would turn out but I think they look pretty cool! They definitely have a cool edgy/grunge vibe going for them 😂
The last location we found was right across the shopping cart where we found a basic white wall and a large gate. We almost passed right by the location before I pointed it out and we stopped. You never know what locations you can take cute photos at, so always keep your mind open and your eyes peeled!
Check out my friend Alice here and Farren here!
That is the last of the photos! What do you think? Do you think my friends and I successfully completed this challenge? Let me know in the comments!
